I certainly didn't. I'm actually curious.

I was having some fun in C++ the other day and did something like this:
#include <iostream>
using namespace std;

class wtf
{
     public:
          int anumber;
          wtf(void) { }
          ~wtf(void) { }
          void Do(void) { cout << anumber << endl; }
};

int main(int argc, char *argv[])
{
     wtf lol;
     lol.Do();
     int omg = 1337;
     reinterpret_cast<wtf>(&omg)->Do();
     // This one is a little more interesting
     float pi = 3.14159f;
     reinterpret_cast<wtf>(&pi)->Do();

     system("pause");

     return 0;
}

Some code tags...they're not preserving the "wtf*"s inside the "< >"

Isn't that just representation of a floating point variable as an integer? You could do that much more easily if that is the case...

float b = 3.14159f;
int a = *((int*)&b);
printf("%d", a);

No, I just wanted to call member functions of a class with anything but the class itself.

Neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeecro. But it's ok with this thread ;)

So I was on my way to lunch today, and I thought about my easy weapon adding script.
Here if you want to see it.
I remember that it had a problem with not adding the hud elements correctly (reticle and side icon). In all of two seconds I realized why. I wrote the script code as a modder would put the code in himself (automated stuff was where you'd normally add all the new code for a new weapon). All the information for things like which icon and reticle in the ItemData for the weapon. The HUD stuff was set before the weapon file was exec'd though, so the ItemData didn't exist yet, so no HUD.

I just thought it was funny that, five years later, I solved the only problem with my automated weapon script without any thought.

Also, Disgaea is an awesome game. You should all get it.

I might even add some things to Tribes2 again every now and then, since this makes adding weapons much easier. Oddly enough, I think this script also reflects how I like to write code today to some degree: I try to code things so that adding and changing it in the future is easier and requires as little work as possible.

On another note, who still remembers that this forum exists?

Edit: I lied :( I took a look at the code and it seems I have amnesia. It's still handy though.

lol Lt.

Starting my own computer business here. Every time I start thinking of a coding community site project, I get side tracked with other small projects.

I miss Tribes. I still play T:V on occasion. All the complaining gets to me though. :(

Reminisces about Mr. Murry... :twisted:

The forums scale quite nicely for my phone compared to other websites.

Yeah, I'm bored.

So after cropping numerous old topics and such, Lt. Earthworm officially holds the record for most posts spam on the forums :twisted:

There's still a lot of old out-dated posts that I haven't cropped, so my count will probably drop even more :!:

lmao. I'm sure most of my posts would count as spam for the most part. Mostly.
