Wow. I don't get why people are so opposed to science. We just watched a video on DNA in biology class today, where it showed old news videos from the 70's. In these videos, people were opposed to DNA experimentation because of health risks, which is completely understandable. But this just makes it seem like the Church as a whole is just scared that science will disprove their religion. And what's wrong with calling it the Big Bang instead of the Big Bang theory? Everybody above the age of 7 knows its just a theory. I bet they're gonna try and disprove Santa Clause next. Like they actually can.

People in this world are way too selfish. they want everyone to see things how they see them. I find it flat out wrong for anyone with no knowledge in a field to be "editing" what a specialist has to say. IMO, the entire "weapons of mass destruction...wait where are they?" incident was a result of similiar doings. Some official, that has no knowledge of the field at hand, is calling the shots.

If I had weapons of mass destruction I'd hide them pretty well ;)

But yeah. I'm not much of a religous person myself, but that doesn't mean I don't respect other people's beliefs or thoughts. Everyone just needs to be a little more friendly, lol.

Jack Thompson also makes this planet a little more interesting, albeit in a very annoying way.

yea i read some other articles there

i seem to recall bush pushing heavily onto the fact he is catholic to help get him in office. i also seem to recall a president putting his country before his god for 4 years or however long he was in office. george bush doesnt have much left of his campiagn, why not play on peoples beliefs? if you are truly a christian/catholic/wahtever then you would be along with me in bieng opposed to science beliefs and i would be right for once

hmm now that i think about it, science clas sin highschool really contradicts the "apeared in a forrest butt naked kind of thing" which in itself always confused me, if there was just adam and eve once they had kids wouldnt the kids have had to do the whole incest thing to make more kids?

meh maybe i am just lookign into the issue to much

I think it would be good not to get started on these religious discussions. Although I could go on about "wrong" things in the bible, we might offend someone, and I believe that would go under the category of flaming.

Simply debating religious ideas isn't flaming, no matter how offended some one gets. If the comment was meant to offend, then it is flaming. However, religious arguments tend to go in that direction no matter what. It's like a law of nature.

Anyways, I just got done watching Dogma.
I like the whole "humans can't hear God's voice" sort of thing.

I feel I must bring this up again as something amazing has happened to me. Not the good amazing, the kind of amazing that makes you wonder how people survive in this world.
I was driving home on a street that intersected with a neighborhood road. The neighborhood road had a stop sign at the intersection. The one I was driving on didn't. Someone pulled up to the stop sign and, like a good little driver, stopped. However, not like a good little driver, just as I was coming up on the intersection, they suddently decided that I had a stop sign and pulled out. I had just enough room to stop, and when I did the other driver seemed obvlivious to me. My head was swimming with too many thoughts like "WTF?" and "OMGMORON" to honk my horn. We continued on our seperate paths with me just a little more pissed off.
