Ouch. That's a low blow. Can't say that I'm surprised. I'm impressed they were up as long as they were...

It definitely still sucks though. Hopefully not all is lost.

New master server and auth system is coming along pretty well. All of the nasty crypto is fully functional, and the only hard part left is finishing a process isolated integration of Ruby with T2 (which is about 80% done).

I've decided to use OpenDHT for online listing and storage purposes. It is unlikely to go down, and easy to interface to. This will also let me move the authentication server around without having to worry about waiting for DNS propagation delay. The interface still needs to be written for this too, but it is a pretty straightforward job compared to low level binary hacking.

Some new GUIs and modifications to existing GUIs will be needed (for account creation, server listing, eventually t-mail, browser, chat replacements). Some sort of auto-update needs to be integrated too -- I think I'll make that as part of the new DLL.

Should be online well before the 1st of November.
